During the first episode of season 13 of Top Gear, the Stig set a new record in a Ferrari fxx. He then came into the studio and took off his helmet for the first time ever to reveal his face and it was Michael Schumacher. The question here is; is he really the Stig?
I doubt Schumacher is the Stig and the BBC would neither confirm nor deny it. They showed the clip of Michael Schumacher in the reasonably priced car at the end of the show and he had some serious trouble trying to get the car to move round the track. He almost hit a cameraman but managed to hit the camera and smash the windscreen. This would mean he was the guest on that episode of Top Gear and that he is not really the Stig.
I read somewhere that there is more than one racing driver that plays the part of the Stig on the show. It is possible that Michael Schumacher is one of those racing drivers and he may have been the Stig occasionally. I guess we would know the truth in subsequent episodes.
